A Durable Power of Attorney for Finances Informational Seminar will be offered on Tuesday August 14th, 1:30 pm – 3 pm at United Senior Services(Elderly United), The Pitzer Center, 101 S. Fountain Blvd., Springfield, Ohio. Presenters from the Ombudsman’s office and Legal Aid of Western Ohio will provide information on the importance of obtaining a durable Power of Attorney for finances and discuss criteria for choosing an effective DPOA. Those who attend the session will also have an opportunity to discuss the financial protections available and the legal rights of senior citizens.
There is no cost for the training. The program is sponsored with a grant of support from the Delmar Foundation and is made possible through the partnership of Legal aid of Western Ohio, the Ombudsman’s Office, and Catholic Social Services of the Miami Valley.
