A partnership between the Clark County Combined Health District (CCCHD) and the City of New Carlisle is giving area residents access to general health services close to home, thanks to a local Health Clinic made possible through their “Public Health for New Carlisle” campaign.

The New Carlisle Health Clinic services include access to immunizations, blood pressure screenings, blood sugar screenings, pregnancy tests, and head checks. The Clinic is open the first Tuesday of each month from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm and every Wednesday from 8:00 am to noon at Honey Creek Presbyterian Church, located at 212 W. Jefferson Street in New Carlisle. Clients are asked to enter the Clinic through the church’s annex door on S. Adams Street.

Blood pressure screenings are also available the second Tuesday of each month from 8:30 am to 10:00 am at New Carlisle Senior Associates at 199 Sunrise Terrace, New Carlisle. Monthly HIV testing clinics are also being held; interested persons may contact Vince Carter at the CCCHD at 937-390-5600 for times and locations.

In addition to personal health services, the “Public Health for New Carlisle” campaign offers residents access to environmental health services, health education, maternal and infant home visits, and the Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps.

Unfortunately, flu shots are not available at the New Carlisle health clinic; however, they are available at the CCCHD office at 529 E. Home Rd. in Springfield every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
