At the March 28, 2018 meeting of the Clark County Commissioners, the commissioners approve four Department of Job and Family Services (DJFS) contracts for Court Services effective January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018. First, they approved a contract with the Clark County Common Pleas Court Clerk of Courts for $86,448.44 for filing services. They also authorized a contract with the Domestic Relations Diving of the Clark County Common Pleas Court for work performed by the Magistrate and staff including Child Support Orders, Medical Orders, adoption of administrative findings and other related work. Third, the commissioners approved a contract with Clark County Common Pleas Court Juvenile Division for $203,709 to provide services for the implementation and adjudication of child support cases. Finally, they authorized a contract with the Clark County Sheriff for $240,142.23 to provide the process services.

For the Engineer, the commissioners authorized a resolution authorizing participation in the ODOT Symmer Contract for road salt bid process. This allows the department to take advantage of lower contract prices negotiated by the state on road salt prices.

In addition, the commissioners acknowledged a bid from Ohio Bridge dba US Bridge for $245,319.16 to furnish and install the Baker and the Mitchell Road Bridges. The bid has been referred to staff for further evaluation.

For Building and Grounds, the commissioners approved two contracts. First, they authorized a contract with Aqualon, Inc. for $14,963.22 to install irrigation systems in the A.B. Graham and the Courthouse effective March 28, 2018.

They also approved a contract with Nature’s Own Landscaping for $25,995 for landscaping and mulching services at various county buildings effective March 28, 2018.

In regular business, the commissioners extended the lease agreement with the United States General Services Administration for National Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) space at the price of $526.17 per month to extend the lease to two rooms at the Springview Government Center effective March 28, 2018 through July 31, 2019.

They also approved a payment to the Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) for $6,000 to fund the Springfield/Clark County Development Marketing Video. The funding for this project is split between the CIC, City and County. The county’s share matches the city’s contribution.

The next meeting of the Clark County Commissioners is scheduled for April 4, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Conference Room at 50 E Columbia Street.
