Bethel Township Miami Trustees Approved Permanent Appropriations

At the March 22, 2016 meeting of the Bethel Township Miami Trustees, the trustees approved the permanent appropriations for Bethel Township to provide for the current expenses and other expenditures during the fiscal year ending December 31, 2016.

For the Fire Department, Township Administrator Andy Ehrhart reported that the department made 12 runs between March 5, 2016 and March 18, 2016. One of the runs was an assist to Bethel Clark. In addition, the department made one run for a motor vehicle accident with injuries; however, 75% of the calls were for emergency medical services.

For Planning and Zoning, Ehrhart reported that three applications and three permits were issued. There was one request for a new residence at 7182 Dayton-Brandt Road, and two requests for pools at 4125 Dayton-Brandt and 2879 US 40. He also announced that the Board of Zoning Appeals were scheduled to meet on March 24, 2016; however, the case was moved to April and will be heard on April 28, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. in the township building.

In addition, the township trustees and administrator are currently conducting interviews for the Planning and Zoning position.

The next meeting of the Bethel Township trustees is scheduled for April 12, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the township meeting room.
