At the February 25, 2016 meeting of the Bethel Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA), commissioners approved a request for a triple variance to increase the maximum size of an accessory structure from 1600 sq. ft. to 1632 sq. ft., increase the maximum height from 15 ft. to 17 ft., and to build the accessory structure prior to construction of the primary residence. The commissioners approved the request with two stipulations.
The first stipulation was that the primary residence must be completed within a year. The second stipulation required that the primary structure when completed exceed the height of the accessory structure.
Robert Zugelder of Rolling and Sliding Doors of Dayton, located at 8755 SR 201, did not follow up with his request for a variance to erect a sign for the business within the right of way. According to Township Administrator Andy Ehrhart, Zugelder is pursuing other alternatives for sign placement.
The next meeting of the BZA is tentatively scheduled for March 24, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. in the township meeting room.
