A Clark County Jail Inmate is facing additional charges after he reportedly flung “his own urine and feces” on his attorney and deputies.
Ricky Hand was being sentenced for a number of armed robberies on June 22, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. When Judge O'Neill began reading the sentence, Ricky Hand removed a plastic bottle from the arm sling he was wearing and began throwing its liquid contents all over his attorney and the courtroom area.
Ricky Hand was then quickly restrained by deputies. In the process several deputies had the liquid substance thrown on them.
An investigation by Clark County Sheriff Detectives found that Ricky Hand did conceal four plastic bottles inside several jail issued pants prior to entering the courtroom for sentencing. When interviewed, Hand stated that he had been saving the plastic bottles while incarcerated in the Clark County Jail for a couple of weeks. He further stated that the bottles did contain his own urine and feces.
Ricky Hand was then charged with five counts of Harassment with Bodily Substance, one for his attorney and four additional counts for the deputies involved, Obstructing Official Business and Retaliation.
Ricky Hand will appear in Clark County Municipal Court to answer to these additional charges on Thursday June 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
