The Peacemaker Awards were presented at the 27th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration on Friday, January 13th at the Hollenbeck Bayley Creative Arts and Conference Center in Springfield.

Musicians from the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra played music from different time periods as ballet dancer, Gabrielle Sharp, demonstrated dances that were popular during those eras. Musicians and students also explored how dance and music styles have changed throughout time.

New Carlisle Elementary fifth graders participated in their first DARE class on Wednesday, January 11th. Clark County Sheriff Deputies and DARE Officers Berner and Lisle will guide students through the ten-week program visiting classrooms on Tuesday and Wednesday throughout the third grading period.
