Jennifer Hardacre, Tecumseh High School class of 1991, is this week’s nominee of the Arrow Alumni feature.

As a high school student, Hardacre was active in the Tecumseh Theater program participating in plays, choir, and musicals. She was a cheerleader, an office worker, and a member of the Spanish Club, Astronomy Club, Ski Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Future Farmers of America (FFA), and Students Against Drunk Drivers (SADD).

After a twenty-year career as a third grade teacher in the Tecumseh School District, Hardacre has embarked on a new fulltime venture, operating the H.A.R.D. (Honor and Respect Daily) Acre Farm. The farm, co-owned by Hardacre and business partner Beth Snyder, seeks to provide adults living with disabilities the dignity to enjoy meaningful work, life, and social relationships in a safe agricultural community. After years of planning, the farm held its grand opening on Saturday, September 17th.

Hardacre and her daughters Emma (16), a student at the Global Impact STEM Academy; and Rebekah (13), a Tecumseh Middle School student, reside at the farm’s location. Jennifer’s parents, Rich and Bonnie (Albaugh) Hardacre, are also Tecumseh alumni.
