State Representative Kyle Koehler (R-Springfield) will be hosting a public forum on House Bill 523 this Monday, May 9th at the Courtyard Marriott in downtown Springfield (100 S. Fountain Avenue, Springfield, OH 45502). The forum will take place from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.

After nine committee hearings regarding House Bill 523, the Select Committee on Medical Marijuana unanimously passed the legislation, which would allow specific forms of medical marijuana in Ohio. The bill could be up for a floor vote in the Ohio House as early as Tuesday, May 10th.

Among other goals, House Bill 523 seeks to make marijuana for medicinal purposes available for patients who need it while maintaining a tightly regulated policy on the product. The bill also creates the Medical Marijuana Control Commission, which would be tasked with the regulation.

This public forum allows constituents from the 79th Ohio House District to ask questions, voice opinions and concerns, and hear feedback from Rep. Koehler on the passage of this bill.

The forum is open to the public and Rep. Koehler looks forward to your input.
