Senate President Appoints Hackett to Local Government Innovation Council

Ohio Senate President Larry Obhof recently appointed State Senator Bob Hackett (R-London) to the Local Government Innovation Council.

The Local Government Innovation Council oversees programs which provide communities financial assistance for projects to enhance local collaboration and reduce duplication. The goal is for communities to save money and provide more effective services to their constituents.

"I look forward to working with the council to develop innovative programs aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing cost burdens on our local governments, ultimately saving taxpayer dollars." said Hackett.

Before his elected to the state legislature, Senator Hackett served as a Madison County Commissioner. He was appointed to the Ohio Senate in February 2016 and was later elected to a four-year term to represent the residents of Clark, Madison and Greene counties.
