Bethel Township Trustees approved the appointment of Brian Ludwick to the position of Assistant Fire Chief at their July 26, 2016 meeting. Ludwick was sworn in to the position at the meeting.

Ludwick grew up in Medway and makes his home in Bethel Township along with his wife Anna and his nine year old step son. He is employed by the City of Springfield as a fire fighter. Ludwick joined the Bethel Township department in 1994 and works as a fire fighter/paramedic.

When asked why he was seeking the position as Assistant Chief, Ludwick stated that he likes a challenge. He will be working with scheduling and investigations for the department along with other administrative tasks. He also hopes to bring some new ideas to the department that will streamline some of the various procedures. Ludwick describes himself as someone who likes to “accomplish established goals”. He will begin his new duties on August 9.
