On April 21, 2016, the New Carlisle Public Library launched ten new computers for use by library patrons. The new computers replace an old assortment of computers using different operating systems and capabilities. The new computers all use the Windows 10 platform and feature a consistent Microsoft package and internet connectivity.

In addition, the computers will be refreshed whenever they are shut down, so patrons no longer need to worry that personal information was inadvertently left on the desktop. Patrons who use the computers should plan to bring a flash drive with them to save documents that they want to retain.
