A new resource was added to Bethel Township this week.   Every Wednesday from 9 til 1pm there will be a special assistant at the front desk at FYI to assist those who are looking for help with drug or alcohol addiction. FYI is not a medical clinic and will not have medication or shots at the site, but Robin will be able to answer any questions parents, grandparents, siblings, or addicts themselves have about the resources available in the community.   She will have information on recovery clinics in the vicinity, NA and AA meetings being held and where and when, pain clinics that are running, programs that help recovering addicts, and other vital information for all who need it.

This service is running as many people in the community have asked for help in this area.  “Because we are so close to the borders of so many counties, we wanted to give people a list of more local places they could go,” stated Pat Banaszak, executive director of FYI.   “This has come out of a very needed service within our community.  We have to fight this epidemic by first knowing where our loved ones can get help.  Robin is very familiar with the cycle of addiction and is compiling a list of resources throughout this area.”

FYI is also looking for people to help her keep the list up to date, and also possibly helping out at the front desk to give out the information.   If you can help, please contact Pat at 845-0403.
