The 2015 Harvest Run for Hunger 5K Run and Family Walk benefiting the Second Harvest Food Bank will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Buck Creek State Park, Hickory Knoll Pavilion, 1976 Buck Creek Lane in Springfield.

“One in six of our neighbors suffers food insecurity right here in our own communities,” says Tyra Jackson, Executive Director of Second Harvest Food Bank of Clark, Champaign and Logan Counties. “That’s too many seniors, families and children going hungry to ignore. We can all be part of the effort to ending hunger together. Join in the race against hunger by participating in the Harvest Run for Hunger.”

Early registration is underway until October 30. The entry fee is $20 for adults and $15 for youth, and includes a t-shirt. Registration is $25 after October 30 and on Race Day is $25.00 (t-shirt not included but available for purchase after pre-registration deadline). Premier Sponsor for this event is Excel Sports Medicine a program of Community Mercy Health Partners.
