The City of New Carlisle will hold its third-annual Community Garage Sale on Saturday, June 18, 2016 starting at 9:00 am, with a rain-out date of June 25, 2016.

This year, the City of New Carlisle has partnered with the Western Clark County Business Coalition (WCCBC) (buyclarkcounty.com) in an effort to promote collaboration and community involvement.

When asked why the City of New Carlisle has started the Community Garage Sale, City Manager Randy Bridge explained that “the purpose is to bring visitors into the City of New Carlisle that otherwise would not come into town.  Exposure is key as we have a jewel of a small city that has much to offer. We have a vibrant downtown with unique shops, cafés, and a bustling Farmers’ Market (located along Main Street downtown) on Saturdays from 9:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.  The City also has numerous parks that family friendly (complete with non-smoking restrictions, the first in Clark County to do so!), a community swimming pool, a Skate Park, tennis courts, volleyball courts, basketball courts, and a newly completed 3.6-mile multi-use paved trail.  Things are great here in New Carlisle and we want to show the region that.”  Bridge also stressed the event as an exceptional community involvement tool as well, “In a town just under 6,000 residents, many people know one another.  This will be the perfect time to walk the different neighborhoods in town and get to know a resident you have never met.”
