On Saturday, July 16 the non-profit organization First Responders and Bikers Advocating Against Abuse will hold their 3rd Annual Fire House Run. The ride will begin at Buckminns D&D in Xenia at noon and end at Mid Ohio Harley Davidson in Springfield.

The ride travels through township fire houses as part of the event. Along the route some fire departments will have engines and squads on visual display making this an enjoyable family event. Care Flight and Med-flight will be landing at Mid Ohio at approximately 2:30p.m. The Clark County Sheriffs Office Motor Unit, will escort the ride along with motor units from Greene County S.O., Ross County S.O., Montgomery County S.O., and the Dayton P.O.

The riders are a group of EMT's, Paramedics, Firefighters, Nurses and Police Officers who raise awareness against child abuse and provides shoes for children in need through the Shoe Barn Project. They have partnered with Project Woman and the Family Violence Prevention Center to aid families affected by abuse and neglect. The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is urging motorists to be on high alert and vigilant in their driving as motorcycles will be prevalent along the route. Areas of high traffic in Clark and Greene County include; Rte 42 into the downtown Xenia area, Rte 68 north, Rte 235 around the base, Central Ave in Fairborn, Haddix Rd, Dayton-Spfld Rd through the Enon area, Enon Rd, Lower Valley Pike, Detrick Jordan Pk, Rte 41 through North Hampton, W. National Rd, St Paris Pk., New Carlisle Pk., Eagle City Rd., Middle-Urbana Rd, Rte 4, Croft Rd, Robert Eastman Rd, Bird Rd and Laybourne Rd.
