Tecumseh Seniors Alondra Ruiz-Abeldano (left) and Cole Bentley (right) are pictured with Rotarian Linda Ricardi at the March 21st meeting of the New Carlisle Rotary Club.

Tecumseh Senior Cole Bentley is the Rotary Student of the Month for March. He is the son of Phil and Connie Bentley. Cole is involved in a Bethel Community Outreach Group that provides free meals for residents on the fourth Thursday of the month. He is also a member of National Honor Society and recently completed his first college class at Sinclair Community College. His goal is to study sports medicine at the University of Dayton. Cole named Mrs. Wright, his guided study hall teacher, as someone who helped him stay on top of his grades. A favorite school memory is being inducted into the National Honor Society, the first time he was rewarded for his grades. Cole also considers being named a Rotary Student of the Month a great honor.

Alondra Ruiz-Abeldano, the daughter of Rosci Abeldano and Jose Ruiz, is the Rotary Citizen of the Month for March. Alondra is originally from Mexico but has lived in Ohio for fifteen years. She told Rotary members that she knew no English before staring kindergarten. As a junior, she attended Springfield Clark CTC and studied cosmetology. After graduation, Alondra plans to attend Sinclair Community College but is undecided on a major.
