The season is upon us and since we all love a bargain, Family and Youth Initiatives is going to have a garage sale and everyone is invited. Though we are collecting all of the good items you do not want anymore, we would like to invite anyone who would like to sell their own things to get a table with us, and come and help us celebrate spring and Cinco de Mayo with us and make some money!! What a great way to clean out your closets and garages! What a good feeling to get all the unwanted small appliances, toys and games, tools, old bikes, and whatever else you have that is no longer needed. And what a blessing your ‘junk’ will be to someone!

Donating your items to FYI will be both tax deductible for you and a big help for us to help others. Proceeds will allow FYI to continue our work during the summer months and help many in need that would not be helped otherwise. Some of the programs of FYI are to help families to get diapers, cribs, car seats, and most of the things that babies need, a pre-school for socio-emotional learning, a community garden for area residents, and many innovative service projects for teens. All projects are free to Clark County residents and many have openings now for new participants. Call 845-0403 and ask for Pat if you would like to be involved.

If you have items to donate to the garage sale, please bring them to the office Tuesday/Thursday from 9-5 and Wednesday til 7pm. Please sign in our donation paper so that we can give you a tax deduction.

If you would like a spot at the garage sale, please call 845-0403 and you can reserve a 10’ x 10’ spot for only $15 for the day. Most items, except firearms, are accepted for you to sell. We can all make this day a great day to clean our homes and make money too!!
