The weekly Cruise-Ins, a tradition at Wot-A-Dog, have returned.

“We want to bring the community together,” said Ed Holbrook, one of the organizers.

They are being held in the parking lot behind Security Bank on N. Main St.

“The Wot-A-Dog cruise-ins were a big success,” said Holbrook, “but there was not enough parking and a lot of people were turned away.”

About 25 cars were at the first cruise-in on Monday, and more cars are expected as the word spreads.

“We want to give back to the community,” said Holbrook. “Tonight, we’re taking food donations for the food pantry, and our share of the 50-50 drawing will go to local charities.”

Music was provided by Good Vibrations, and Rudy’s Smokehouse food truck was on hand.

The cruise-in will be every Monday evening through September 4.
