Goal is to Bring Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship and Work-Readiness Education to Local Students

Junior Achievement Mad River Region has joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.

Occurring this year on December 1, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday to kick-off the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.

“Junior Achievement helps young people create successful futures by giving them the skills and knowledge to be successful in the world of work,” said Louise Lambert, JA area president. “We ask the Clark County community support JA’s mission by going to www.madriverja.com/donate and making a donation of any amount on December 1, #Giving Tuesday. Our goal is insure more than 4,400 students access to JA programs, and we’re asking for the community’s support.”
