The Western Ohio Tuba Quartet was founded in January of 2013 and is comprised of four current members of the Ohio Valley British Brass Band—Francis Laws, Ted Shuttleworth, Michael Gallehue and Denny Seifried. This group of talented musicians are experienced performers and retire music educators who enjoy making music together and entertaining audiences with this rather usual combination of instruments. The WOTQ consists of two euphonium, sometimes called tenor tubas, and two bass tubas. This unique instrumentation delivers a rich and resonant sound that simply needs to be experienced in person to appreciate. You will hear the sounds of Gabrieli, Mozart and Tchaikovsky, to modern American music, marches and jazz. The WOTQ performs at receptions, holiday festivals, church services, banquets, and senior communities.

This wonderful evening of music will begin at 7:00pm at the Church of the Brethren in New Carlisle, 219 N. Main Street. This concert is FREE and open to the public, however during intermission a “free will offering” will be accepted as a donation to the performers.  Refreshments will be served during intermission for a nominal cost.  Please mark your calendar for Friday, December 4, 2015 and invite family and friends.  It’s a fun way to start your Christmas celebration.
