Fair at New Boston 001

Nearly 20,000 visitors attended the Fair At New Boston this year, marking a new record for attendance despite the oppressive heat and humidity.

Pam Cottrel of the George Rogers Clark Heritage Association extended her sincere appreciation for the Bethel Township Fire Department for their service in assisting visitors with all of their needs. She also thanked everyone who attended and supported the fair in other ways by posting yard signs and sharing the information.

Cottrel noted that the Boy Scouts were wonderful in assisting with traffic and parking. She said that the oppressive heat caused some folks to leave earlier than usual, but said that as soon as one car left the parking lot, another arrived immediately to take its place.

She also thanked the Clark County Park District , the Western Clark County Business Coalition, and the Greater Springfield Convention and Business Bureau for their support in the fair.

She stressed that anyone interested in participating in the fair next year should contact the GRCHA.
