Barbara A. MacGregor Manning died on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Grandview Medical Center, Dayton, Ohio after a three-year fight with cancer. She was the daughter of William and Helen (Healy) MacGregor, born on June 21, 1930, in Springfield, Ohio. She graduated with the class of 1948 from Springfield High School and worked for 25 plus years for Tecumseh Local School District. Barbara was, at one time, a Grey Lady at Mercy Hospital and worked five years for the Adult Literacy Group teaching adults to read. She was active in her churches St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and Arise in Christ Lutheran Church, having done the church typing for many years and taught Sunday School for twenty years. She was active in the Ladies Groups at the churches.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of sixty-one years, Joe R. Manning. She is survived by her children, Ann (Dale) Whitmer of Marysville, Kimberly (William) Jones of New Carlisle, and David (Lora) Manning of Galloway, Ohio and six grandchildren: Rachel (Didier) Jones Donne of Mountain View, CA, Jillian (Danny Peterson) Manning, Columbus, OH, Ryan Jones, Columbus, OH, Emily Jones, Cincinnati, OH, Hayley Manning and Tabitha Manning, Galloway, OH, and her brother William (Joanne) MacGregor, Springfield, OH, sisters-in-law Dorothy Manning and Shirley Lookabaugh of Springfield, OH, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Barbara.
