age 56, of New Carlisle, passed away Monday, January 26, 2015 at The Hospice of Dayton.  Oakley was a Carpenter with Gerald W. Matthews Contractor & Builder.  Oakley was preceded in death by his parents, Hobert & Dorothy Estridge.  He is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughter, Chaney Estridge of New Carlisle; son, Curtis Estridge of Dayton; sister & brother-in-law, Karen & Dave Walz of West Chester; brother & sister-in-law, Phillip & Marcell Aikens of AL; nieces, nephews and many other relatives & friends.  Oakley was precious to his family and friends.  He also considered his family and friends as precious.  He was generous with his talents, volunteering his time to assist where his carpentry skills were needed.  He determined his opinion of a person by their behavior and how they treated others.  He was not politically correct but thought out loud, and took his stand on what he thought was right or wrong.  Oakley was loyal.  If you were his friend he had your back.  He loved the outdoors and was a terrific fishing buddy.  He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed any driver’s win, with the exception of the Busch brothers.  He loved his family above all and spoke of them in glowing terms.  He is missed and will always be missed by those who knew him. Funeral services were held 10 AM Friday, January 30, 2015 at Marker & Heller Funeral Home, Huber Heights Chapel, 5844 Old Troy Pike with Bobbie Predmore officiating.  Interment Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Dayton Children’s Hospital or American Cancer Society in Oakley’s memory.
