Virginia “Ginny” Hassen passed away Feb. 14, 2017 at age 98 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born May 4, 1918 in Farmersville, Ohio to Raymond and Nora Reedy.

She was raised in Germantown and Dayton, Ohio and graduated from Steele High School in 1936. She married Edward Hassen in 1939 and she and her family lived in New Carlisle for 25 years before moving West.

After moving to Las Vegas, Virginia enjoyed playing slot machines and bingo and working crossword puzzles in addition her many other activities.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward, daughter Cecelia, and son Anthony.

She is survived by son Tim, daughter Cathy Corbett, both of Las Vegas; son Tom of Palm Beach, Florida; granddaughters Hayley Corbett and Michelle Hemmerley; grandsons Todd and Tyler Hassen; three great grandchildren; and sister Phyllis Young of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Services are pending. Burial will be in Ellerton Cemetery in Moraine, Ohio.
