William Kenneth “Ken” Coburn, 84, passed away at his home in Gorham, Maine, on March 6, 2018. The son of Robert E. and Mary (Clark) Coburn, he was born in Lexington, Kentucky on October 4, 1933. He served his country as a parachutist in the United States Army. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Defiance College and a Master’s in Education from Indiana University. He worked all his life in the field of education as a High School Principal in Van Buren OH and then as Superintendent of Schools in both Van Buren OH and then Northmor OH. He married Sally Jo Link in 1957. Ken was loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sally Jo Coburn of Gorham ME, his daughter Cynthia L. Coburn of Gorham ME, his son Scott L. Coburn and wife Amy of Twin Lakes MI, his two grandchildren Matthew S. and MacKenzie A. Coburn and their mother Sandra Jo Coburn of Gorham ME, his sister Ruth Price Maxton of Dayton OH, and his brother Robert C. Coburn and wife Betty of New Carlisle OH, along with several nieces and nephews in OH and VA.

Military graveside services will be held at Weaver Cemetery, Bloomfield Twp., Bardstown, Wood County OH on May 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements are under the care of Dolby, Blais & Segee Funeral Chapel, Windham, Maine.
