86, of New Carlisle, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015. He was born on November 1, 1929, in Wayne Township, Montgomery County, Ohio, the son of the late Robert and Netta (Flory) Artz. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Janet Artz, son, Jeffrey Artz, and daughter and son-in-law, Janet and David Cabral, as well as four grandsons, Brandon and Tanner Artz and Frank and Joseph Cabral, and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Thelma Hinkle and Vinnie Whitman, his brother and sister-in-law, Samuel and Kay Artz, and his sister and brother-in-law, Esther and Lowell Sinclair, as well as countless nieces and nephews. His wife of 51 years, Carol Artz, preceded him in death, as did his brothers Alvin and Thomas, and sisters Ruby, Ina, Anna, Elizabeth, and Rachel.  Marvin served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953, and was a long-time member of American Legion Post 286. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, December 4, at Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar and Fraley Funeral Home in New Carlisle. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 5, at 10:30 a.m. at the same location. Burial to follow at the New Carlisle Cemetery.
