Heaven gained an angel when Vivian O. Jordan, age 85, passed away on January 4, 2015 at home where she resided with her daughter and son-in-law in New Carlisle. She was formerly a resident of Fairborn for more than 50 years where she raised a blended family of seven children with her husband, Lowell J. Jordan.

Mrs. Jordan was a kind-hearted, loving Christian lady who touched many lives through her service to God at her church and also by providing childcare and sharing her seamstress and baking skills with the community. She was an excellent cook and was well known for her delicious homemade pies.

She is survived by four daughters; a son; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren; two sisters; four brothers; as well as many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two siblings; two daughters; and four grandsons. Her sweet and gentle spirit will truly be missed by many.

A funeral service was held on Friday January 8, 2016 at 12:30 P.M. in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Randy Warner officiating. The family received friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial followed in the Byron Cemetery.
