RisleyRisley, Anthony M. “Tony”, age 51 of New Carlisle, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday, January 31, 2016. He was born on April 14, 1964 in Montclair, New Jersey to Mary Angerosa Risley and Marin (Bev) Risley. In addition to his parents, Tony is survived by his siblings: Michael (Sharon) Risley, Karen (John) Henz, Steve (Paige) Risley and Joe (Andrea) Risley; nieces and nephews: Christopher Boian, Zachary, Alex and Jessica Henz, Mac and Mitch Risley and Dominic Risley; Tony’s step-sons whom he helped raise and was very close to: Josh and Justin McDevitt and former wife, Nancy Risley. He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Joseph and Susan Angerosa; paternal grandparents, Mark and Mark Risley and uncles: Nick Angerosa Ph.D and Mark Risley. Tony was a 1982 graduate of Tecumseh High School and JVS where he studied carpentry; he then went on to graduate from Clark State Police Academy. He was a police officer for 30 years working at various police departments, gaining 1,134 hours in advanced law enforcement training, but his heart was full when he became a D.A.R.E officer. He thoroughly enjoyed working with the kids at Graham and Greenon Schools where he made a large impact through the D.A.R.E program. Tony was also a kitchen designer and mill work specialist at Home Depot in Springfield but he had also worked at multiple lumber yards through the years. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center from 4:00-6:00 p.m. with the service beginning at 6:00. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions be made to the Clark County D.A.R.E program or the American Diabetes Association in Tony’s honor.
