Linder Honored as Rotary Student of the Month

The first Tecumseh High School student to receive both Rotary Student and Rotary Citizen of the Month honors is senior Caleb Linder, son of Clark and Lori Linder.

Ranked first in the Class of 2016, Linder is preparing for Advanced Placement exams in government, calculus, and English. He is also enrolled in Honors Physics and AFJROTC serving as squadron commander of the OH 881st unit at Tecumseh High School.

Linder was the recipient of The Southwestern Officials Association Sportsmanship Award presented at the 2015-2016 All County Basketball Awards Ceremony. Other basketball honors include the Allstate Good Hands Award and the Team Player Award. Recognitions in AFJROTC are the Distinguished Cadet Award, The American Legion General Military Excellence Award, and the Air Commando Association Award.

Named the CMG’s Student of the Week and a Scholar Athlete, Linder has also been inducted into The Kitty Hawk Air Honor Society and Tecumseh’s Chapter of the National Honor Society. As vice-president of NHS and Student Council, he has organized dodge ball tournaments and school dances which have raised money for the local food pantry. His involvement with the New Carlisle Farmers’ Market has helped to raise money for Honor Flight Dayton.

Other extra-curricular activities during his senior year of high school include Muse Machine, the spring musical, golf, and basketball. Linder has also been a past participant in football, track, concert band, and the Cyber Patriot Club.

Linder has received an appointment to the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York.
