For the fourth week in a row the Ohio Crush were on the road & for the second consecutive game they had to come from behind in the fourth quarter to pull out a hard earned 20-14 victory over Jackson County.

The Crush got the scoring started with a 2 yard run by Trammell Hayes with 4:31 left in the first quarter. Quarterback Jon Mason bulled up the middle on a sneak with 6:54 left in the half to give the visitors a 12-0 lead.

It stayed that way until the final play of the half when the Patriots hit a 43 yard hail Mary pass and it was 12-7.

Neither team scored in the third quarter but following a pass interference call on the Crush that put the ball on their 10 yard line, Jackson County punched it in and took a 14-12 lead with 10:28 to go in the game.

Undaunted, the Crush came right back and scored when Mason found Tyler Waller down the right sideline for 53 yards. Mason then passed to Justin Huff for the two point conversion and it was 20-14. Mason led the offense with 279 yards passing.

The defense forced four turnovers and recorded five sacks to slow the Patriots offense. Devonte Moore recovered a fumble while Josh Brown, Branson Newbry and Justin Boldman all had interceptions.

The Crush returns home for their first home game of the season this Saturday at 4 p.m. against the Columbus War Eagles at Raynor Park in Park Layne.
