Coming off a 5-win season last year, the Tecumseh boys’ basketball team is preparing to turn things around with the start of the new season begins next weekend.

Coach Chris Cory knows that his Tecumseh football team wouldn’t get much time to think about the result of their game last Friday night before hitting the field tomorrow night in a special Thursday night contest.

For the first time in school history, Tecumseh High School has a girls’ golf team.

After watching as Ben Logan took the early lead, the Tecumseh boys’ soccer team stormed back to score the games’ next four goals, and cruised to an easy 5-2 win over the Raiders last week in a crossover league match.

You could still hear it in his voice…the exhaustion was still there one day after returning home from Kingsport, Tennessee.

Coming off a 5-5 regular season that saw the Tecumseh Arrows finish in the middle of the pack in the Central Buckeye Conference, coach Chris Cory has put together a summer schedule he hopes can get the Arrows back on track toward a winning record, and another run at not only a league title, but another playoff contention.

Ed Note: The New Carlisle News continues the summer feature series, focusing on returning athletes from Tecumseh, Northwestern and Bethel.
