Tecumseh suffered through a rough opening week of the baseball season, as they lost to Sidney 3-1 in their home opener, then came back the following day with an 8-2 loss to Fairborn.

In their opening game, which was moved from Sidney to Tecumseh due to field conditions, the Arrows were held to only five hits in the game. Hunter Hensley had a double for the Arrows in the loss, while Blais Hale was also 1-2 and scored the lone run for Tecumseh.

Pitching for the Arrows was Anthony Steele, who gave up three runs, despite only one being earned.

In the fifth inning, Hale opened with a hit and took second on an error. Jack Dague moved him to third and Caleb Ricks scored Hale with a sacrifice fly. Hale reached base three times on the game.

“It was similar to their loss on Saturday, we had plenty of chances to win the game and could not come through,” Tecumseh coach Chad Hale said. “We were not getting key hits to drive in runs.
