Isaiah Trimble is more than ready for August to get here.

The three-sport athlete with the Tecumseh Arrows is gearing up to put the helmet on for the last season, and pour everything he has onto the field at Spitzer Stadium. He is geared up and focused and is ready to make some senior memories with the Arrows.

“My favorite sport in high school is football for sure, my team and I have had some very memorable times through two a days, practices, and also games,” Trimble said. “Some of our most fun moments are in the locker room and outside before practice.”

While Friday nights are what everyone is focusing on, Trimble can appreciate the time leading up to the season where the things off the field can be a nice distraction to all of the hard work.

“One of my best memories was after the last day of two-a-days a bunch of my team mates and I brought grills and probably the most food I have ever seen in my life,” he said. “My big man beside me on the line Hunter Hensley cooked all our food my brother and I drove to my girlfriend’s house and filled up the back of our truck with water and brought it back to the cookout as a portable pool for the team”

Those are the memories that high school sports are all about. While the wins and losses fade away, Trimble will always remember the time spent with his teammates.

But it isn’t always fun and games, as there is work to be done to get ready for the grueling season.
“I have done numerous things and put in many hours to improve my game for senior year,” he said. “I lift weights and do cardio at least 5 days a week if not more. I owe a lot of this hard work to my dad and my girlfriend though for it is rare that I am ever working out alone and they push me to the point where I get better.”
“In my off season I have worked on speed, quickness, and strength. My strength has grown very well with the help of my dad and brother in the weight room and my cardio is improving tremendously with the help of my girlfriend Sam Johnson. I have also been trying to learn how to be the best leader for the team I can be.”
When Trimble was younger, he can remember falling in love with the sport of football.

“I started playing football at a very young age starting at Pee-wee and making my way up,” Trimble said. “As I went through the system I was always playing a year up than what I was supposed to be so I could stick with my older brother. When I was younger I was always striving to make my dad proud and be as good as my brother so I think that in the long run it made me work harder and made me better as a player and a person.”

“I started playing football because my dad was the coach and I had heart problems when I was younger, and he wanted to show me that it wouldn’t stop me from doing what I wanted and so he helped me achieve that goal and was a huge contributor.”

Now that he is entering his senior year, he wants to finish his Arrows career as a champion.

“I fully intend to put the fear back in the surrounding teams around our area,” he said. “With the help of my team we should be able to play solid football this year and compete as we have in the past.”

“As always we would like to win CBC but I would also like to have a shot of playoffs for my last year of high school football. My personal goal is to get first team all-league and hopefully I have put myself in the position to get a step up for all-area or all-state.”
Trimble, who plans to play in college, also wants to major in physical training, such as physical therapy or training.

“I have always been very interested in the human body and how our muscles work,” he said.
