It’s early in the track season, but the Tecumseh girls’ team is off to a fast start.

Troy opened the tennis season last week with a 3-2 victory over Fairmont, as both doubles teams were victorious for the Trojans, along with their third singles player.

When Roger Culbertson stepped down as the baseball coach at Tecumseh, the Arrows needed to find a quality replacement for the longtime successful coach.

IMG 6890It was a very successful weekend of wrestling for the area high schools, as wrestlers from Tippecanoe, Troy, Tecumseh, Troy ChrIMG 6890istian and Northwestern all competed in the sectional tournaments at various locations.

IMG 6769The #8 seed Tecumseh Arrows lost to the #6 seeded Sidney Yellow Jackets 94-73 in the first round of the sectional tournament.

The road to the state tournament began on Saturday for the Tecumseh girls’ basketball team, as they took their 19-3 record to Troy High School for a battle against Xenia, a team the Arrows destroyed by 50 points back in December.
