Tecumseh put together a solid meet with 170 team points, as they cruised to the championship of the Clark County Invitational last weekend at Springfield High School.

Northwestern placed fifth with 118 points, and Greenon eighth with 49.

At 106, Alyssa Turner of Greenon placed fifth overall after losing her four matches in the county meet, and was the only area wrestler in that weight class.

Gavyn Sineff from Tecumseh placed second overall at 113, while Northwestern’s William Bailey was third. Sineff defeated Damian Wilson of Shawnee via pin in 35 seconds and earned a 16-1 technical fall over Bailey for his two wins to get to the fifth round. There he defeated Emily McKinney of Northeastern in 1:35.

Bailey also recorded wins at 113, including a pins against Damian Wilson of Shawnee and McKinney.

Capturing the 120 pound county title was Tecumseh sophomore Joe Campbell, while the Arrows’ Scott Sincron was also fourth.

Campbell defeated Kyson Cook of Kenton Ridge 6-4 in round one, and pinned his teammate Sincron in the second round before another pin against Luke Barclay of Southeastern in 1:05 and won the title with a 6-3 win against Lane McCombs of Southeastern in the finals.

At 126, Tecumseh took home another title, as Cyle Wells won the championship against teammate Hunter Donnan 14-8, while Devin Current of Northwestern placed fifth with a 9-3 decision against Tecumseh’s Brian Stone.

Northwestern took home gold at 132, as Jacob Lees won against Tecumseh’s Lucas Rodgers in the finals via pin in 2:50. The Arrows’ Glenn Kaffenbarger pinned Logan Barclay of Southeastern in 3:39 to place third overall, and finishing seventh was Tecumseh’s Simon Herbert.

Alec Hall gave Tecumseh another championship, as the freshman won at 138 with a win in the finals against Bryce Stamps of Kenton Ridge 16-3. The Arrow’s Brent Moody from Tecumseh took home fifth with a 2:46 pin against Dakota Adams of Springfield, and Andrew McKee of Northwestern was seventh with a win in his final match.

Winning at 145 was Tommy Rowe of Tecumseh, with teammate Jason Brewer second and Trey Blevins of Greenon third.

At 152, Tecumseh’s Hunter Elam finished second overall, falling in the finals to Dominic Finch of Shawnee in 4:56 via pin. Placing fourth was Samo Olejnicek as the Arrows’ grappler lost in 38 seconds in the third place match. Steven Monroe of Northwestern finished fifth with a pin over William Lorenz of Springfield, and finishing seventh was Millard Rife of Northwestern as he pinned Aiden Shanahan of Tecumseh.

Andrew Reisinger of Northwestern placed second in the 160 pound class, as he knocked off Skyler Davis of Northeastern. Johnathan Sirloin of Tecumseh placed sixth overall.

Finishing third at 170 from Northwestern was Brendan Hartsell of Northwestern, while at 182, Nathan Snyder of Northwestern earned first place overall, while Josh Johnson of Greenon placed fourth, Hayden Palmer of Tecumseh was fifth and Anthony Hooper of Greenon sixth.

Finishing in the top five at 195 was Brandon Henn of Tecumseh (third), Levi Morrison (fourth) and Ryan Breakall (fifth).

At 220, Zach Taylor of Northwestern took home a first place title, with Garrett Camden of Greenon fifth.

Finally at 285, Greg Snyder from Northwestern was second overall, with Javen Moore of Greenon fourth and Shawn Ingle of Northwestern sixth.
