Monday, 1/16

1:59 p.m. To Styer Dr. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that her stepson, who has a history of violence and drug abuse, is out of control. She said she asked him about a missing fishing reel. At first he said it was in his pocket, then said it was not. She said he then started yelling, cursing and calling her vulgar names. She said that he then left, and was yelling that she needed to die. She said as soon as he left, she locked the doors and called 911. Warrants were issued against the stepson for domestic violence.

Tuesday 1/17

8:40 p.m. To W. National Rd. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that she was involved in an argument with her live-in boyfriend and father of one of her children. She said he accused her of sneaking men into the back of the home. She said she told him that she was leaving with the children, and he became upset. She said he grabbed her by the hair and was poking her eye. She said she went into a bedroom, but he kicked the door in and began yelling. She said he then left the residence. At 9:44, she called back to report that her boyfriend had returned. When deputies arrived, they were advised that he left the residence again. He was located in an outbuilding and was placed under arrest for domestic violence and assault. He was found to have an outstanding warrant from Montgomery County for failure to pay child support.

Wednesday 1/18

10:39 a.m. To Gerlaugh Rd. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that her boyfriend was looking for his wallet this morning. She said that he couldn’t find it and began throwing clothes and pop all over the apartment. She said he was cursing at her and took her phone with him to work. She said she wants her phone back and the boyfriend to never return. She was advised that since she allowed him to set up residence there, she would either have to file for a protection order or evict him through the courts.

5:15 p.m. To Rachel Ct. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that her son has been staying with her, and that she told him that he is not allowed to use her car. She said that he took her car, and texted her that he is at work in Springfield. She said that if he returns the car, she would not press charges. The son was found to have a warrant from Huber Heights. Deputies went to his place of employment, but could not find the woman’s car. A deputy contacted her later and learned that the car was returned.

Thursday 1/19

9:26 a.m. To Merrymack Dr. for a report of a possible assault. A woman reported that her son was assaulted at his foster father’s farm. She said that he sustained a broken collar bone in the incident. The son said he was complaining about the treatment of animals on the farm, and an employee pushed him, then grabbed him and threw him to the ground. He then said that the employee told him that he slipped in the mud and dropped him.

10:06 p.m. To Sunset Dr., Medway, for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that her husband had been drinking all day. She said he came home and was upset because dinner was not ready. She said that he sat in a recliner and flipped over due to his intoxication. She said he then went to bed. The deputy had a hard time waking him up. The woman said he is diabetic and his sugar might be out of whack. A squad was summoned, and medics advised that his sugar was over 300. He refused medical treatment. The woman said she was going to her sister’s home to get away from her husband. She was given information on Project Woman.

Friday, 1/20

6:17 a.m. To Edgebrook Ave. for a report of a hit-and-run. A man reported hearing a loud bang outside, went out to investigate, and saw that a driver had struck a parked vehicle and was backing up and left the scene. He went to the home of the owner, and the 16-year-old girl who was home alone called 911 to report that someone was banging on her door. The driver came to the New Carlisle Substation later in the day to report that he had struck the parked car and provided his information to take care of the damages.

Saturday 1/21

3:58 a.m. To Kendig Rd. for a report of a protection order violation. A woman reported that her husband has a protection order against her. She said that he had been sending her text messages and has been uploading pictures of the couple with their child to their shared i-cloud account. She said she receives notification when photos are uploaded. She said the protection order allows for contact regarding their child. She said she believes he is using that to manipulate her and contact her whenever he wants, as long as he mentions their child. She was advised that the deputy would have a hard time proving that uploading pictures to a shared account to be contacting her. She was also advised to have the protection order amended to stipulate times that the husband cannot call her.

8:13 a.m. To Brubaker Dr. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that she was arguing with her husband and that he wanted a divorce. She said he pushed her several times onto the couch and onto the ground. She said she tried to defend herself and scratched him. The husband left before deputies arrived. The husband was located in Donnelsville and was booked into the Clark County Jail for domestic violence and assault.

4:36 p.m. To Rachel Ct. for a report of a domestic dispute. A woman reported that she was arguing with her son because he wanted money and she would not give her any. She said he was in a bedroom and that he had an active warrant. The warrant was confirmed, and the son was placed under arrest. He said that there was no physical altercation, and the woman confirmed that. The son was taken to the Clark County Jail.

Sunday, 1/22

12:48 a.m. To Bowser Dr. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A man reported that he had been arguing with his girlfriend “because she is crazy.” He said that she had left her 13-year-old son with his grandmother’s home and that she had fled the area. While speaking with him, the girlfriend drove by. The deputy tried to catch up with her but was unable to do so. The deputy then learned that the argument was only verbal, not physical. He said that she is probably headed for her home near St. Paris, so Champaign County deputies were alerted to the possibility that she is intoxicated.

5:29 p.m. To Prentice Dr. for a report of a gunshot. Neighbors identified the address from which the sound came. Deputies went to that address, and a man said his daughter was playing outside. He said she came in crying, saying that a neighbor’s dog was chasing her. He said he got a gun and went outside and saw the dog in a neighbor’s yard. He said he then went into the front yard and the dog charged him from two houses away. He said he fired a shot into the ground to scare the dog, and it went back to the owner’s home. Deputies spoke with the dog’s owner. She said that she saw the dog go toward the girl, and that she yelled at the dog to come back. She said she then saw the girl’s father come out with a gun and shot at the dog. She said he stated that it was only a blank, but the next time her dog came in his yard, he wouldn’t miss. Another neighbor stated that the dog is always off a leash and has been aggressive in the past. She said that today the dog chased the girl and tried to bite her and ripped her clothing. She said she did not see the father fire the gun. The father was charged with discharging a firearm in the city limits. The dog’s owner was charged with allowing the dog to run at large.

11:54 p.m. To Stratmore St. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that her brother was fighting with her over the dishes. She said that he punched her in the ear and arm. The brother left before deputies arrived. Warrants were issued against the brother for domestic violence and assault.
