The New Carlisle YMCA has a tentative buyer.
It was announced last week that the Lake Avenue Christian Church has purchased the facility which was foreclosed upon buy PNC Bank in January.
No price was given for the purchase, but the opening minimum bid on the property at the foreclosure sale was $200,000. Randy Warner, of the church, said the obtained the facility because they need the space due to an increasing congregation.
"We bought some land adjacent to our current facility, but it would cost somewhere between four and five million to build a new church. This made more sense financially at this time," he said.
