Hosterman Lake in George Rogers Clark Park has been freshly stocked with fish for the annual Fishing Derby sponsored by the Friends of the Clark County Park District scheduled for Saturday, May 29, at 9:00 AM until noon. The park is located about five miles southwest of Springfield, off Ohio State Route 4 and no fishing license is required, according to board member and event chairman Bud Jividen.“This is a free family fun event for all ages, plus there is no fishing license required to participate,” he reported. “The Friends annually stock the lake with extra fish for this event and prizes will be awarded for the outstanding catches of the day.” The Clark County Park District lake can be fished during open hours any day of the week without a license. Fishermen must provide their own poles and bait. Picnic tables are available for those who wish to plan a day at the park and bring their lunch. There is no charge to use the park, lake or picnic tables. Comments (0) |
