On May 26, 2010, shortly after 10:00 AM, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Communications Division received a report of a Domestic Violence investigation located at 13 Dogwood Rd. in Crystal Lake.  The caller reported that she was having a verbal argument with her grandchildren’s mother who also resides at the same home.

Uniform Patrol Deputies responded to the home and began their investigation into the incident.  During the preliminary investigation, Deputies noticed that the home was dirty and unkept.  There were several adults living in the same home along with two children.  The investigating Deputies strongly felt that the home was unsanitary for small children.  The small children are 15 months old and the second is 5 months old. 

Deputies took the parents of the two children into custody for endangering children.  They were transported to the Clark County Jail.  The two children were removed from the home and placed with Clark County Children’s Services.  The couple will be arraigned Thursday (May 27) at the Springfield Municipal Court.  The Domestic Violence investigation was unfounded.
