Three people were injured in a Tuesday morning accident on State Route 4 near the George Rogers Clark Park exit.Â
Initial reports indicate that the vehicle was traveling north on Route 4, jumped the guardrail and slid several hundred feet on its top.
The driver, a 16-year-old female, was pinned in the vehicle by the steering wheel. “It took a little while, but we were able to extricate her,” said Enon/Mad River Fire Chief Dave Leist. She was transported by Bethel Twp squad to Children’s hospital in Dayton.
“None of the occupants appeared to have life-threatening injuries,” said Jennica Stout, Bethel Twp. Firefighter/paramedic. “Two of the occupants were able to get out of the vehicle,” said Stout. “The driver had to be extricated, but she was alert and responsive.”
The driver’s brother was transported to Springfield Regional Medical Center and the driver’s mother refused treatment, but rode with her daughter to Children’s.
The incident remains under investigation by the Springfield Post of the Ohio State Patrol. Â Comments (0) |
