HERBERT “POPPY” CRANK, 82, of Huber Heights, Ohio passed away Tuesday May 17, 2011.

He was born April 11, 1929 in Barbourville, Kentucky the son of the late Clay & Ella (Black) Crank.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from ITT Continental Baking Company.

He is survived by his children, Garrett & Christina Crank, Drusille Dozier, Leonard & Marie Crank, Ed & Ronda Crank, Kevin Crank; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; a sister, Lola Wooten; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Mathew, Thomas & Lee; a sister, Geneva Crank.

Visitation will be 3-5 PM Sunday May 22, 2011 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be at 1:00 PM in Dayton National Cemetery.
