Charles L. Casad, 62, of New Carlisle, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 14, in Decatur, Illinois. Chuck was currently employed by Caterpillar in Illinois. Prior to this, Chuck worked for Leer in Virginia and Ohio, National Defense for Wagner in Decatur, Illinois. Chuck is survived by his wife, Pamela (Gleason) Casad of New Carlisle,Ohio. He was the loving father of Kirstin K. Casad of Princeton WV, Richard P. Casad and his wife Emily(Standridge) of New Carlisle, Ohio. He also leaves behind a grandson, Levi Patrick, age 1. Chuck is survived by a sister, Mariann (Casad) Strosnider and husband Steve, a niece, Nanciann Strosnider, and a nephew Taylor Strosnider of Cincinnati, Ohio, Tammy (Gleason) Wiggenhorn niece, and Patrick Gleason of Springboro, Ohio, nephew. Chuck is the son of the late Charles H.M. and Marilou Casad of Dayton, Ohio, and a late brother, Robert M. Casad of Dayton, Ohio. Chuck had a passion for the sport of fencing, in which he captured many titles including a three time Dayton City High School Fencing Championship in the 60’s and went on to master the sport throughout his adulthood. Chuck also served in the United States Army for two years during the Vietnam War as a company clerk. Chuck was best known for his leadership skills, his creative spirit, and his appreciation for so many dear friends. Visitation will be 9-10:00 AM Saturday May 21, 2011 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNREAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Burial will follow in Dayton Memorial Park Comments (0) |
