JAMES H. HAUF, age 68, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born December 22, 1942 in Dayton the first son of Henry & Rose Hauf. Jim was a graduate of Tecumseh High School class of 1960 and a proud U.S. Army veteran. He was employed over 40 years for various government contractors at Wright-Patterson AFB, the last being Wyle Laboratories, Inc. Jim enjoyed working on classic cars and street rods and was the owner of The Chassis Shop in New Carlisle for many years. He is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 45 years, Sharon (Jones) Hauf; son Christopher and daughter-in-law, Marty of Springfield; beloved grandson, Brady and granddaughter, Caroline; brother, Larry (Jeanne) Hauf; brother-in-law, Phil (Pam) Jones; uncle, John (Tomi) King of San Antonio; a nephew, several nieces and cousins and many dear, close friends and church family. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter in 1970 and brother, Jerry Hauf in 1966. He was a proud member of the Beavercreek Church of the Nazarene. Jim was a devoted husband, amazing father, grandfather and friend. He touched many with his outgoing personality, sense of humor and love of life. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-8PM Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will take place at 11AM, Thursday, May 26, 2011 in the funeral home with Pastor Keven Wentworth officiating. Burial will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
