Donna Margaret (Billingsley) Fisher, 85 of Kennewick WA, passed away September 11th, 2011, at Life Care Center in Kennewick surrounded by loved ones. She was born July 18th, 1926 in Colfax WA. The daughter of Walter and Maria Billingsley, Donna was one of three siblings, including brother James Billingsley and sister Mildred Skinnell.
Donna was married to Don Fisher in 1954 and they had one daughter, Sidnie. Donna was a hairstylist for over 50 years; she treasured her years with her salon family at Park Layne Stylists. Upon retiring she returned to Kennewick to be closer to her siblings.
Donna served as an officer and was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 286 in New Carlisle. Donna was loved by many and is survived by; her daughter Sidnie (Larry) of Arizona; grandchildren Lindsey and Jeremy (Leah); great-grandchildren Zachary, Zaiden, Makenzie, and Kailey; cousin Jack & wife Evelyn; several nieces and nephews; cherished friends Buddy & Dr Rusty Morris; dear friend, sister, mother, daughter, Jamie Thompson. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband Don Fisher; brother James Billingsley and sister, Mildred Skinnell.
There will be a gathering of friends at the American Legion Post 286 in New Carlisle on Sunday October 9th, 2011 from 2pm – 4pm. Donna will be missed by all. She was truly what we all want to be when we grow up. |
