Raymond L. Middlesworth, 76, of Springfield passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011 in his residence. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on September 21, 1935, the son of Andrew and Elizabeth Middlesworth. Ray was a member of the North Hills Church of God, where he served as a Trustee as well as the Heart of Ohio Scrollers. Ray retired as a truck driver with M & M Restaurant Supply. His hobbies included cooking, woodworking, and chair caning. He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter Amanda Hicks Truett. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Marjorie Middlesworth, whom he married September 27, 1956; two daughters Diana Hicks of West Carrolton and Donna(Chuck) Rowland of New Carlisle; one son Dan (Linda) Middlesworth of Waynesville; two sisters Lou (Jerry) Stephens of Reynoldsburg and Judy (Denny) Moore of Dayton; three grandchildren Brandy Day, Jacob Middlesworth, and Jonathan Middlesworth; four great-grandchildren Brooklyn, Logan, Caleb, and Taylor; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-7 pm in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. A celebration of his life will be Monday at 10:30 am in the North Hills Church of God 2950 Moorefield Rd with Pastor Seth Ross officiating. Burial will be in Germantown Union Cemetery.
