A Park Layne family is desperately seeking information leading them to the whereabouts of Tecumseh student athlete, Trae Clark, 15, who is still missing after running away from his home in November.

Vicki Clark is Trae’s adoptive mother. He came into Vicki’s home as a foster child when he was 7 years old and Vicki adopted him when he was 11. Trae’s siblings are Brandon Murray, Tristan Murray, Donte Clark, Daymoni Clark, and Lyndsey Clark.

The family attends Restoration Park Church in Medway.

Trae attended Park Layne Elementary and Tecumseh Middle School (TMS) before entering Tecumseh High School (THS) in 2014. He played in the Wee Arrows’ football and wrestling programs before playing football and wrestling at TMS. He was a member of the 2016 THS Varsity Football team. The sophomore also had a promising year of wrestling ahead of him before he went missing.

Trae’s mother says she discovered her son ran away on the morning of Nov. 29 when she went to wake him up for school. He had also run away earlier in the week, but had been found and returned home on Nov. 28. Vicki says the family has no idea why Trae ran away again the next day.

“When we found Trae the first time and brought him back home, (several) family members spent time talking to him...He then gave us all hugs and told us he loved us; (but) he was gone again in the morning....He left no note. ”

Vicki says hearing reports that Trae has been seen in the New Carlisle area gives her reason to hold onto hope that her son is still nearby.

“Trae has been seen several times in the New Carlisle area. I do believe someone is helping him and hiding him. He could not have survived on his own for two months in the middle of winter. Granted it hasn’t been a bad winter, but (it’s) still too cold to not have somewhere to stay.”

Trae is 5’11,” weighs 175 lbs., with blond hair and brown eyes. According to his mother, Trae has been spotted wearing a tan Carhartt-style jacket, a black hoodie, and jeans. He also wears a black baseball cap and carries a black book bag.

Vicki explains her son has always been a good kid, which is why she was both surprised and devastated when he came up missing.

“Something caused him to walk away from everything he knew and loved...I believe he needs help, and I am extremely worried as to what is going to happen if he does not get it soon”

Trae’s mother says his family misses him and prays he is found safe and sound. They plead with anyone having information leading to his whereabouts to come forward immediately.

Vicki also has a message for her son, “Please, just come home Trae...We love and miss you ...and just want you to come home safely. It’s never too late!”
