You are invited to celebrate the start of the New Year at the New Carlisle Public Library. The library will sponsor a free New Year’s Eve Celebration on Thursday, December 31, 2015 from 5:30 p.m. through 7:30 p.m. Come any time, stay as long as you want, and leave when you’re ready.
Enjoy family oriented activities including face painting, card and board games, crafts, jigsaw puzzles, mandala coloring, refreshments and many other activities.
The library would like to thank Richard Eisenaugle for donating his collection of Ball jars for the craft project, which will feature the creation of memory jars. A memory jar is a container that is created at the beginning of a new year to contain a remembrance all of the awesome things that happened during the year. On New Year’s of the following year, the tradition is to review all of the wonderful things that happened during the year and to appreciate all the good in our lives.
If you don’t already have a library card, fill out a registration card and begin your own adventure with the books, DVDs, CDs, audio books and much more available at the library.
