June L. Smith, 89, of Springfield Masonic Community, formally of Englewood, Ohio passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2010.

She was born on July 9, 1920 in Bradford, Ohio the daughter of the late Marvin and Irma (Beeman) Wilcox.

She graduated from Fairview High School, Dayton, OH and Dickinson School of Business.

June owned Shaker House Calico Gift Shop. She was the office manager of Roth Realty, Vandalia, OH, secretary at the Northmont Public Schools and receptionist for Robert Rankin D.D.S.

June enjoyed gardening, reading, bridge and nurturing her family.

She was a member of United Christian Church, Clayton, OH, Ohio Eastern Star, Harvest Chapter, Dayton, OH.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, David Smith; son, Stephen Smith and his wife Ellen; daughter-in-law, Doris Smith; sister, Donna Cronin; sister-in-law, Joy (Wilcox) Scoates; grandchildren, Carey (Michael) Beam, Joshua (Tiffany) Smith, Elizabeth (Michael) Lee, Debra (Jeff) Dearie, Ryan Smith; step-grandson, Erik (Anne) Freeman; ten great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son, David Gary Smith; brothers, Tom and Richard Wilcox; sister, Helen Doeller.

Graveside services will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, New Carlisle, OH on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 11 AM with Rev. Jim Miller officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the United Christian Church.

The family was served by the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio.
