There are some who never know what the value of a true friend is. There are people that come into our lives that have made such an impact.
They have always been there no matter what. There have been those who we thought were there in our corner, soon to find out that they were not.
There are people who we have known forever, that will always be there in times of need.

They are always glad to see us and lend a helping hand. We share information about our families and what is going on in our lives.
There are those who we know will always bring a smile to our face and are good for fun times.
We have friends that we see everyday at the store, or gas station, or post office, or the restaurant we go to in the morning for coffee.
We have our friends at work, our friends that are parents of our children’s’ friends, and our friends at church. We have friends that we share committee time and friends that we work on projects with.
Then we have our true friends. They are the ones that are there with out a phone call.
They are there standing behind us when all seems to go wrong. They are there cheering us on when the task seems impossible.
They are always at the finish line with a smile and a hug. They never condemn us when we make a bad choice or decision. They may not approve of a choice we make, but are there when rocks start flying our way. They believe in who we are, and what we stand for.
They are there when our family is in need when all others stand afar.
They are our true friends. They help carry our burden when it seems too heavy to bear.
They clean up our messes when no one else is there. They sit with us in our darkest times, no matter what the hour. They put their needs away to sit by our side.
They don’t expect thank yous and don’t expect praise. They are across the room with a smile that you know means they have your back.
When you feel lost and lonely, there are behind you to take your hand.
When no one else is there to help that you see, they are always in the background knowing what you need.
They never ask for anything in return, because they know you would do the same.
Never take for granted these special people in your life.
They are really a rare treasure that some never have. I am very fortunate to have wonderful ones in my life. And if you are one that is not so lucky, it is not too late.
By paying some good forward, you might just make a true friend. Be the positive force in someone’s life. The feeling is like no other.
The feeling of giving of yourself far exceeds the feeling of taking. Be the true friend someone needs.
